Hyderabadi Fish Curry.




Ingredients
Oil * 4 tbsp
Fish * 2-3 cans
For the paste :
Red chillies * 5 pcs
Turmeric powder * 1 tsp
Aniseed(Saunf) * 2 tsp
Cumin seeds * 3 tsp
Ginger * 3 cm piece
Coconut * 2-3 tbsp
Tamarind * 1 lemon size ball
Bay leaves * 2pcs
Green chillies, split * 2 pcs
Coconut milk * 1 cup
Sugar * 1/2 tsp
Garam masala * 1 tsp
Salt to taste
 melted butter * 1 1/2 tsp




                            


Method :
1. Heat the oil, add bay leaves, split green chillies and the blended mixture.
2. Fry till the oil begins to seperate. This will take around 10-12 minutes.
3. Add the fish, sugar and salt to taste. Add a little water and simmer it for a while.
4. Just before taking it off the fire, add the coconut milk and garam masala and bring it to a boil.
5.If you want, you can add melted butter to the dish to enhance the taste.
